tourist office closing

no what's wrong with this state government of ours here in South Austrlaia, i heard on the radio that they will be closing the South Austrlian tourist office in the city soon due to budget cuts,,,don't we want tourists here or something, ok i guess there are other places to get information, like the web and such, but we'll be the only capital that doesn't have a state tourist office in it's citydisbelief
is it just me or does that seem rather dumbconfuse

It does seem very dumb to me but you can be sure the other states will, like sheep, follow them when they see the supposed savings.

We have fools running Oz, can't expect too much more unfortunately. no

You gotta wonder about priorities!!

The first thing we do when arriving at a town where we think we might stay, is go to the Tourist Info place. What would we do without them??

We do the same, go to the tourist office first, looks like we will have to give SA a miss in future. (only joking)

Is it a sign of things to come ie more tourist office closures around this Police state?
They are making some very scary decisions in the corridors of power in this country.
There doesn't seem to be any evidence or proof on which to base the reasons for some of the decisions.
They then can't justify, I mean REALLY justify their decisions and the reasons for the decisions.
Bring back the referendum where we actually all get a say. Like it or not, we should be the ones who decide how our money gets spent.
None of the recent policies seem to be in the long term best interest of the country and its people.
It's scary.
It sounds like "privatisation" to me. Who stands to gain, and what will be lost?

I think what is "more" scary Chris is having our police stations only manned between 7 and 7.

Do they honestly think that criminals take a break overnight or that a domestic doesn't happen at night.

This just isn't in the little country towns, this is happening in the larger areas as well.

Hi to all - Ma I was told that South Australian Police were scared of the dark - working between 7 to7 almost proves that. Sounds to me what S/A needs is a heap of Victorian Pollies to shift over to run things, they are the professionals, Didnt take them long to stuff Victoria, so they might be looking for another challenge.... Anyone want a brand new Desal plant & a water pipeline, never used.. Time for another pill - blood pressure going up - whens happy hour????
