When I left Broome in Aug 07 I paid $1.42/litre. By the time I got to Cairns in July 08 I was paying $1.79/litre. We're still not up there. Let's make the most of the "good times".

You may be right re 2007 and 2008 prices, But the the dollar is now at least 20 cents better against the US dollar and the price per barrell is nowhere near what it was back then. from memory about the $150US a barrel.
Someone is ripping us off bigtime. Gee I wonder who?????

Do we get a prize if we guess correctly? The list is pretty long. I believe SA has higher priced fuel than other states. Diesel is at least 20c/litre more than unleaded at some brands. How can we, the people regain some control over what we earn, and how much we decide to spend, and on what? Existing on any sort of pension is an endurance test. Pensioners are budgeting experts who could give the government lessons on budgets.
