Barrington tops


 Just had two day in barrington top  n.s.w..... not way long enought  i know .... lovely place to vist even seen a dingo close up  im very impressed ... so many free camping spots up there to  ..i will be back very soon hopefully before it snow up there  The landscape is just so lovely .. after all the rain in summer the river and streams are so clean ....

It is rather pristine up there isn't it mate. Lovely no matter which way you go.

We have not stayed anywhere up there but often go for a drive. Its cold in winter they tell me. smile

Where did you stay up there?

yes is cold in winter show a lot on higher peaks .... yes is pristine for sure so relaxing there will be going back ..we camp at free camping ground on walcha road bye the river ..had pit toilets no shower but we had out own was great .....

I have never heard of Barrington Top. What an unusual name. It must be in a mountainous area to have snow. Sounds lovely.

It is beautiful there Marj but its not at the Snowy its sorta Newcastle way.

Its a National Park for a lot of the area. smile

Dungog, Glouster area. N/W of Newcastle ,have been there when it snowed.

yes it lovely and right at my back door realy  ..it snow there most winters but not a lot so  you can ski  but snow fight are great lol   ,,but the wildlife is lovely  and plenty off it  .. see lots just round camp site and frogs some many frogs they were evey where  ..but if you are around the newcastle area any time you should put it on your to do places to see it is lovely and peacefull and pristen part of our country

Yes it is a beautiful area but not as pristine as it appears to be ~ some of this area is already in big trouble from open cut coal mining and now they have approved coal seam gas mining...very very bad. yes that is true but the nation parks seem to be safe for now and hope they do stay that way .. yes i did see 4 cornors it shame that the hunter valley is been ruined from the mining ..but the job lose would be so great if they move out it a double edged sword i suppose ..
