1 on,1 to go.

Here's the first one Marj.   Second is twice the size, and will go on the front, but have to delete some paintwork first.

Cheers,

Sheba.

That is gorgeous Sheba, I can't wait to see the other one too.

What paintwork are you taking off. Hope not the vehicle paint.

Just the Call Sign of the previous owners' Marj.  Front one is a bit awkward to get to,[in the centre, above the windscreen] but I will get to it soon.  Small one on the back came off pretty easily soaked in Turps, then scraped.

Cheers.

Sheba.

That looks great Sheba. This may not be relevant, but sometimes they will come off with a little heat applied from a hairdrier.

This was painted on ChiChi, not a Decal, or doesn't it make a difference ?

Cheers,

I think that would make a difference Sheba, A decal should peel off with a bit of heat. Not sure about painted ones though. I would be tempted just put another sticker/decal over the top.

No I don't think it would work with paint. As you are doing with turps is probably the best way.

It's too big to just put the sticker over it Marj. If it would cover it all I would, but there would be bits sticking out as it is, so it has to come off first.

Cheers,
Sheba.

oven cleaner can be used to remove sign writers paint, ALWAYS do a test on a small section of orignal paint to make sure it dosnt mark (like under the bonnet).

Clicked on the Google Images page, and typed in Dragons. You can find all sorts of things there. Printed out the Pic. and got some-one to make them for me.

And Father Ted, don't you know children love Dragons ?

Cheers,
Sheba.

All stated tongue in cheek.Yes kids do love dragons, they are a big mystery to them.Mind you there is a breed of Dragons that wear a Red and White football jumpers, they are a fearful breed. Not as savage as the mighty Parramatta toothlees Eels.A bit hard to offer any help on paint removal without actually seeing the job.Just make sure that whatever agent you use is removed the surface you have stripped and also the surrounding paintwork.Good luck Sheba.

I love it! Did you go to a poster printer or how did you set it up?
The next question is, what did it cost?
I'm trying to do one for the top of the windscreen, within legal limits, or for the bonnet.

Printed out what I wanted, went to Yellow Pages, found some-one who made Stickers, took the Print-out in to show them, and it cost me $66.00 for the two. 1 large, 1 small. Will try and get the large one on the front, and Post it tomorrow.

Cheers,
Sheba.

Hmmmmm.......of course you will get referred to as "The Dragon Lady" with that one.

I was speaking with a lady friend on Sunday who works in a position of authority and she reminded me of how I had said "look out, here comes the The Dragon Lady" a long time ago when she pounced on some people doing the wrong thing........women have long memories but then I don't have to tell anyone that do I?

Look forward to seeing the next one! lol ! hmm ashamed

Could be called a lot worse Vic. Haven't got the other one on yet. Need to find some-one taller to remove other stuff first. Then again, I might decide to put it lower down, under the windscreen, instead of above.

Cheers,
Sheba.

Haven't you put the 2nd sticker up yet Sheba?

I've got my Happy Wanderer one up on the front now. Think I will get a Myrtle one made to put just above the little turtle on the back.
