How many budding poets are there on the road . We are toying with the idea of running a poetry competition where people read their own work to an audience,wether in a building or around a fire, some sort of judging takes place and prize money is awarded. This would happen in late autumn starting 2012 if it goes ahead. Does anyone have any suggestions on how we should structure such a competition?
hi tezza dunedoo just had a poets weekend a few weeks ago, whole town was booked out all sorts of poetry events . they have one every year. might be an idea to google and see whats out there so you can get an idea of what you need/want etc. when we stayed at cania gorge they had a peotry readings once a week around a campfire it was excellent. lyn
