Can somone point me in the direction of a battery operated light not to big for under our over head cupboards. I have wandered the caravan stores looking for a light to give better lighting to the kitchen work bench. We have a light there already and put in 2 more battery operated ones but they are still dim with LED's it would be good but we caant find a flush mounting one.
If you look on E-bay you can get the LED tape lights, we've put a metre of it under the overhead cupboards above the sink & it is brilliant. It has double sided tape on the back and it sticks on and is only protrudes down about about 8mm, has about 30 LEDs over the metre and draws about .8 Amps, before I wired it in fully I was using my recharcheable drill battery to run it. They can also be cut at about every 3 LEDs if required
Just do a search for 12v LED lights and they are either under Caravan or boat lighting

If you try Jaycar electronic stores they sell LED's in small 3 led blocks each connected to the next with two wires.I think there are twenty five in the run and you can use that foam double sided tape to mount them up under the cupboards.
You can cut the wires between any of the blocks and just reconnect to the power.
I use six blocks of three under the canopy on the tinnie spread over a meter.Works great and you could leave them on for weeks because the power draw is so small.
