Hose Fittings

I have been useing these hose fittings for the past 3 months, they are really great, I am NOT selling these just recommending them.

Like most caravaneers I use two hose's one long and one short, both are fitted with the connectors.

Milo carry a roll of plumbers tape with you to put around end of tap (this is the white teflon tape)  this will seal it and stop the leaks, you can buy it from bunnings or any hardware or plumbing supply shop

we carry that tape but I think milo is saying that the tap is leaking b4 he puts his hose connection on the tap, the tap to pipe connection, a lot of van parks do not do many repairs to taps, and some campers abuse the taps and don't report them to the management.

Wombat, you must be psychic! Only this morning a caravan repair man was telling me about these connectors after I complained that the hose to my Jayco ALWAYS blows off in C Parks (and being in WA, I HATE wasting water).
We have been reduced to having a 15 litre water contained balanced above the sink, which is NOT satisfactory.
Will check my type of connector tomorrow, and off goes the order. One happier wife coming up! Cheers, Tony

Sometimes the leak is due to the O ring in the tap that only shows up when the tap is on.

You soon learn not to report these things to management when they often treat your report as a whinge rather than an attempt to do the right thing.  Even worse are the power points that are in very poor and dangerous condition and instead of acting on it, they accuse you of having a faulty cord even when the cord is the correct one (sealed 15 amp) in near new condition.

Gday...

Dead right Wombat. I have been using Hoselink fittings for a couple of years. 100% fantastic - unbeatable.

Buy online - have them delivered even to care Post Office if travelling.

Cheers

John
