We are heading up to Lake Eyre shortly, does anyone have any info on the Caravan park at Marree? We are not expecting 5 stars but it would be nice to have some input before we go.

Badgers is great, you can have input in there as well. Once you send in a report, he looks over it and posts it and then you can put reviews in on most places.

I use that one quite a lot, have even posted a couple of reports on it myself.
I also use this one, http://www.caravanparkphotos.com.au/index.htm although there are no Marree photos there, perhaps you could be the first to lodge some. Have posted photos here myself also, both at Huskisson and Mudgee Riverside C/P's.
Badgers site does not seem to mention the Drovers Rest CP, which is on the southern edge of Marree. We have stayed there a few times, 2007 most recent. Prefer it to the one right in town. Was gravel underfoot, has some shade trees. Amenities not flash - in a donga, with a rather strange arrangement of curtains to divide one shower user from another, but not the worst I've been in. Make sure you have drinking water with you - the Marree water is reputed to have dire effects on some people's systems.
Call at the pub and Laurie Kalms (the publican) will not only feed and water you but has a yard for vans next door and it was free at the time, showes were a coin donation. This was what we did in June last year. Remember you are in the outback so there are no luxurys to be had here.
There's a nice little park at Lyndhurst, just down the road, and you can get a flight over Lake Eyre from there too. It doesn't matter - the country out there is looking fabulous and it's hard to believe it's the desert.
