Theres some wonderful folk on this Grey Nomads forum!

Theres some wonderful folk on this Grey Nomads Forum.  Anyway, enough about me, tell me something else about you guys wink

SERIOUSLY THOUGH, its just wonderful to see how everyone goes about supporting each other in all sorts of situations.  I've been here such a short time but I am just amazed by the friendly replies, the good thoughts and the assistance you all give to each other.

I've noticed theres a wealth of experience in the forum, you probably couldnt even measure it, but everyone is happy to sit back and share their ideas without friction and hard words.

I've also noticed when someone is a little bit down and out, as we all do get from time to time, THEN other members swoop past & either give out a helpful comment or thought OR perhaps a little nudge or kick to remind the person that things could be worse.

I don't know how many times I have read something that one of you has put on this forum & it has managed to put a smile on my face, lift my day a little bit.  ANYWAY, THANKS SO MUCH FOR BEING A WONDERFUL GROUP OF PEOPLE.

regards

Jack

Coluldn't agree more Jack you only have to ask a question and the answer always comes through and the site is so active a real privilege to be able to belong to it. Helena.

Just have to agree Jack - and the rest of you guys - everyone onhere is so friendly and willing to share knowledge on all sorts of subjects, and always willing to offer a helping hand if possible. I'm a member on another site, and that can degenerate into either heated debates or downright rudeness, or get bogged down in "in talk", which really belongs in private messaging or the private chat forum they have.
That is why I come on here more often than anywhere else - happy, friendly people - with smiling faces!!!

Its nice to be able to take the mickey a bit as well I think. Its all done light hearted and in fun and taken that way as well. smile

You are all right, there are so many people on here that are amazing.

I often try to put a face to the avatar as well. I did that with a few before our Mudgee meet last year and I was no where near right. laughing.gif

I think Ma thought I would be blonde. jawdrop.gif

We had a thread at one time Jack, I am sure, on what everyone did or does for a crust, I might see if I can find that one, its going back a ways though. wink

I'm not going to respond to everyone individually, I already think I have been saying too much!

Jules, I know exactly what you are talking about. I was reading one forum one day & I was shocked at how rude people were being to each other. I hadnt quite worked out how to join these things back then but they were bickering about tent pegs or something really important like that. If I was their father I would of sent each and every one of them to their bedroom with a tanned backside.

I acknowledge that everyone is entitled to an opinion, even if you don't believe the same as me, thats okay, you're allowed to be wrong rofl.gif

Speaking for myself, I live alone, and spend a lot (probably too much) time on my puter. Grey Nomads is not only great for info, people's photo's and anecdotes, the bantering is always good for a laugh, and we all need to laugh often. it's good for the sole, they say.

So, I say bring it on! thumbsup.gif

Oh, and not to forget Wombats icons etc! clap.gif

You are all wonderful people. I don't think I would have got on the road at all without your help and support. If I don't come on here everyday and at least 3 times I get withdrawal symptons. I need you all. Thank you.

Well, didn't this turn into a mutual admiration society type of thing? But doncha love it?? Like Beth, I live alone, and spend a lot of time on my computer (if my grandson is not here - have to book time with it when he is) - and this is usually the first site I visit - feel like we are all old friends.
