I've had shoes like that Jules, but they were a little older than yours.
I hadn't worn them for a few months, and when I did I just got to the shopping mall, leaving a trail of sole material behind me, as I headed to the nearest shoe shop.
The same happened to an almost new pair of Rossi Boots which had been stored in the van for a long time. The sole also disintegrated on the first wearing.
Now, about these shoes - suck it up brother!
Just don't wear them on smooth floors such as vinyl, tiles, boards or polished concrete and you should be fine. That only leaves gravel, car parks, and carpet.
Good luck with that.

Hmmm......wearing them on gravel and in carparks will still be the same, so that leaves carpet and grass......not going to toss the out though, if anyone doesn't like it then they can suck it up. Tried most of the suggestions so now unless I find a solution will stick with a good sturdy pair of shoes at least for RV travel etc (besides, who wants to get mud all over a good pair of shoes? )

Some of the replies here are very funny.

Years ago I went to the doctor, was having trouble with my shoulder. I went into the surgery, sat down with the doc & he said, " What brings ya in here jack?" I said, " Doc, it hurts when I do this" (I raised my arm up). He replied, " "Don't do that then, is there anything else I can help you with" . funny fella.

Well, after taking out the inners soles of my joggers and giving the inside and outside soles of the joggers a real good spray with WD 40 (Yes, WD 40, as suggested on one of the link posted), after waiting for them to dry off overnight, took them out today for a test run, AND IT WORKED !! Sorry about the shouting, that's just to let you know how happy I am. This is unbelievable, but at this stage I was willing to try anything.

Just letting you know the result, and no, the joggers have not fallen apart yet. biggrin biggrin biggrin

Well that's a win for WD 40 and your shoes. No stinky shoes either.

Now about that latest avatar. Is that a long lost relly you're proud of? wink.gifwink.gif

Great news, the WD40 worked. Now I just have to go get a pair of heel grips so my slip ons won't slip off. Found them in Big W yesterday so will get some on payday.

Yes, it's a strange world we live in, who would have ever thought WD40 would work, now all I have to do is hope the joggers don't fall apart, lol !

Next time (if there is one) I might try Silicon spray instead to see if that works as well......
