Summer Get Together - Gunbower Island

Would love to organise a get together at Gunbower Island in the summer. Thats on the Murray Valley Highway just up from Echuca.

Having been checking it out for some months since my daughters brother in law made up a website about it. Just google Gunbower Island and see how pretty it is yourself.

Perhaps sometime after November would be best when it starts to warm up.

Will keep this thread running and open for anyone who may be interested.

Looks lovely Marj.   With a bit of luck, Jules and I will be down there then anyway.   Wouldn't it be great if all the Solo Girls with High-aces could get together there ?   Others as well of course, but there seems to be more of "us" on the Forum lately.

Ok Sheba, all going well with fixing Myrtle and you both coming down. When we have some date we will organise it. There are a few others who I know will want to fit in too. Shadyandme being one I can think of.
Before or after Xmas doesn't matter to me.

Great Esmerelda, will keep this thread going until we pick a date in the summer. Then organise and confirm from there.

If I had know hown quiet it was going to be when I got home I would have stayed up north longer and suffered the consequences. Getting itchy feet already and nothing to do here but watch TV and crotchet. Too cold to go out.

Just had a reply from Ryan. He said a bit damp in there at the moment but able to camp closer to Gunbower, meaning not to far in, but by November all will be dry and easy to camp there for everyone.

Will around Cup Weekend be a problem - people wise? I know how busy it gets round the murray at tht time of the year - I know Christies beach gets packed out round then.

It seems quite a large place Jules, looks to have plenty of room. If Myrtle was running ok I would go for a drive and check it out but I'm sure we will be ok with plenty of space.
If not, we will all park on Ryans front lawn.
