Great little spot, but the station is a caravan park, as you go west towards the ocean at the T intersection turn left and keep going a short distance and you are at a camp area that only charges $5-6 a night no power but water is there from a tap and they have a dump point, generator's r ok

It's one of my favourite places. I loved the blow holes and a few other quirky things I noticed as the tide moved to the bay by the fishing camp.
To the north of the fishing camp bay there's a little island, and I sat on the headland across from the island to watch the tide form a rapid across the reef. The fish then feed on the incoming tucker, and perform interesting antics to keep their spot in the tide.
Just watching the swell work to the blow holes was an amazing experience.
A few years ago a couple of Japanese backpackers ventured out onto the ledge and promptly disappeared. They were sucked down the biggest blow hole, and were never recovered. Only 1 thong was found. So these natural wonders are not to be toyed with.
You can also go north, that is turning right at the T junction. There's more blow holes and there's another camp up that way, but I didn't go all the way there.
The road was fine in 07, but there have been a few floods and storms out that way since then. Just take care as you always do, and drive according to conditions.
The fishing camp looked like the vans and shacks had been there for some time, and it didn't look like there was too much room for any newcomers. The beach is lovely though.

CG if they only found one thong perhaps you could pass it alomg to Vic as he is having problems with his footwear, or maybe he can find another thong in a local op shop, you could also contact Vic to see if he needs a left or right thongbiggrin.gif

I once picked up a hitchhiker who was wearing one thong (footwear variety), the other foot bare. I asked him "what happened mate, did you loose a thong?" He said "No, I found one"
