well it must have been my lucky day, first of all my stickers arrived in the post (many thanks Cindy) and then i got call from the company in Melbourne that i had ordered my Kipor GS2600 from ($1367.50 incl gst) saying that unexpectedly one had come in and i didnt have to wait until the end of next month for shipment arrival, so i will be trying that out in a few weeks on our trip up to the piliga/burren junction bores area, im sure it will be a lot warmer than it is here at the moment, regards, gary

Good to hear that things are going as planed. The Kipor gennies are ok , if its a new one you must run it in with a hard run . dont do what I did and run it on eco, first up or it will burn oil. if you can hook up a 1000watt+ bar heater and let it run for a few hours to bed the rings in and all will be good . I had to send mine back and thats all they did was run it with a heavy load on it . its fine now ..Its 3 years old and runs like a new one.. I did replace the petrol lines with new stuff, its the yellow stuff, and I put a inline filter in as well, but thats me..Good luck on the trip...Hope this is helpful....And Ive all ready payed an arm and a leg for fuel.... well it seams that way....

When i got my Kippor 2600Watt genny first run was put 20Liters of fuel through with a 1800Watt load to run it in. That was 3 yrs ago & still going well.
hi Gordon, fired up the Kipor this morning to make sure would start, noise level to me was same as the honda (especially once the load switch was put to on) now have to run it in and see how it goes on the trip, will let uu know how the trip goes, regards, gary

Hi Debe, Hows the trip going up north ?the weather is nice here at mackay just now... They never told me that is what I had to do when I picked mine up..They are almost a dead set copy of a honda ,Have had it apart to replace the petrol lines as one cracked. When it started to stop start thing. so replaced all the fuel lines..That is the only thing that went wrong with it.. I think its as quite as the 2kva honda. but has that little bit more grunt.. made my self a gismo for prolong running. Brought a new fuel cap, pull it to bits tapped a thred in the hole at the top , put a brass nut and tail fuel thingo in with thred tape and a lenth of fuel line., presto for around 20$ it will run for as long as the fuel lasts in a jerry can sitting along side... I know so I made a cap for the jerry can that will let air in and all is well.. was going to use a outboard fuel container...20lts !!! sorry got carried away a bit hope this is ok in this thred..sorry Delapan....
