Well, after visiting different places for seat covers I ended up buying some synthetic ones from Auto One, they were By Ryan brand, mainly because they do tailor made covers for my Hi Ace model/year, apparently a lot of tradies buy these type of covers for their vehicles.
These particular covers (anyone with a High Ace will know) do the little middle "Dickie" seat as well, and have a surround open in the back of the cover there so you can still lay it down and use the cup/food tray on the back of it. It also covers the little seat part which is an extension of the passenger side seat. Haven't fitted them yet. They are not shown on this link, but it shows their covers for some other 4WD's etc.
Hey Firefly, they also do the Betty Boop (and Popeye) seat covers under licence.
So decision made, so now all I have to do is fit them but at least I have the right ones for the vehicle. Price was $37.87. Thanks for all the advice everyone, if these don't work out further down the track will try other suggestions.

This is now 6th attempt to upload Pics, even after downsizing them.
I see you don't need them now Vic, but will [try] to post them, as they might be useful to some-one else.
The third one just will not Upload. Might try and add it another time. [It just shows Black Elastic around the back of the seat holding the Towel firm.]
Finally got it.
Cheers,
Sheba.

No worries Firefly, if you click on products they show the Betty Boop info there somewhere.
Thanks Sheba, the photo's are fine. The towels would be a good idea even with seat covers, as you say they are easy to get on/off and wash.
Are those brackets near you door for a TV antenna?
I'm finding it a bit hard to get up into my van, have a caravan step and am thinking I might tie a bit of rope around the leg so I can use it to get in and then haul it up and put it over the seat into the back after I get in. Must be getting too dam old and fat........My wife has trouble too, at the moment she uses the step to get in the passenger seat, then I put it in the back of the van. Both of us are ok getting out, just slip off the seat, lol !!

I have black shade cloth over grill of my Pajero......never any over heating........and I've been away camping over summer in 44C temps....and I also have sheep skin covers too
Yes Vic, they are for the TV Antenna. Don't you have the Handle things to help you get up into the 'Van ? You can see them in mine in the Pics.
Great Avatar Pic, by the way.
Cheers,
Sheba.
Thanks Sheba......re handles......ummmmm......yes but still could do with a boost etc.......newer vans have larger wheels than the old ones so a bit higher up (at least that's my excuse).....

Any way you could put Fold-down steps in place of the ones there now ? Electric ones like they have in Motorhomes now would probably be too difficult to install.
The side door is ok Sheba, only the cab doors, fold down steps would be too expensive, will just try to get by with what we have, it's not the end of the world, lol !.

Wow your van looks great Vic, very nice! I like your towel idea sheba, thanks for the pics, I normally just have a folded up one on the seat, but I like it to cover whole seat, so I will try and give your idea a go.
Yes Sheba's idea is great expecially for the hot weather. When we had the caravan we had a couple of plain coloured very large sized towels on top of our single beds, great for keeping the doona's clean or a bit of a lie down without worrying about the covers, Much easier to wash when travelling.

I'm using my purple velour covers I took off my car when I sold it. They fit well but I can't tie them underneath the seat as it is too close. So the ties just hang loose. Re: The handle to swing yourself up. On the drivers side, grip that handle showing in Sheba's photo with your right hand. Put left foot up on floor just behind foot pedals and pull yourself up. I can't do it over on passengers side as broke my left arm in two places nearly 2 years ago and don't have the strength to pull. Would be hard with a stool out there as how do you get it up after having got there yourself. A bit of string and swinging it in behind sounds dangerous Vic. You could knock yourself out that way.
That's how I do it too Marg, does put a bit of stress on your spine when moving in/over etc though. The stool is one of those little oblong plastic ones (not the caravan step, that was too big and bulky). Might drill a hole in one leg and tie some cord to it, then just haul it up gently after you get in (holding the cord in your hand of course) and using the cord let it down over the rear of the middle seat.......just thinking of doing it at the moment, although I put it out on the other side for my wife to get up (she has knee problems) and then put it in the back of the van while travelling. Getting out no problems, just hang on the handle and slide out.
Fitted a nudge bar today with the help of my son in law and laid a bit of flat type indoor/outdoor carpet to protect the lino, left overs from my previous vans, still ok and the floors on them looked like new when I removed it for sale, did remove it for cleaning from time to time, you can just squirt water through it or put it on a flat surface and give it a scrub for any stains etc. Bought it from Bunnings originally, they still sell it.
Putting some weathershields on drivers and passenger windows in the next couple of days or so and some indoor/outdoor on the side door step. Haven't even looked at the beds yet, have to adapt previous bedding to that when I get around to it. I'm not in a hurry to go away yet until I get things sorted out properly and the southern weather gets a bit better, but who knows, may go earlier ! School holidays coming up in WA from 9th to 24th July, want to steer clear of them if possible.
Thanks Sheba,
I just saw them, they look great. I must get one of those soft things for my seatbelt too it really cuts into the side of my neck, I may not have it adjusted properly, another little job when I get around to it, been a bit busy with other things at the moment.
