North Star Rest Area

Stayed at this site on Tuesday night, Camps 6 #: 891.

This is about 40 klms south of Goondiwindi.

There is a big carpark with a drop loo there but the best spots are down behind the sealed parking area in the bush. Nice spots to have a fire but way too noisy up the top with all the passing trucks. smile

About a 3/5 in our ratings. wink

I stayed there on my way back from Qld too firefly. I parked at the back but still on the sealed bit not far from the toilet, a bunch of trees over.
Just realised after reading your post and thinking about it where in the bush was, didn't think you could go back any further but I do remember seeing a driveway going back there on the left hand side. I thought it was a road but now realise it was some more parking.
You are right, very noisy with the trucks running their a/c all night. But a good sized spot.

Yeah Marj, there is a road running down the side as well and a couple of roads in under the trees. Its a good area and you can walk up to the toilets from there with ease, and your new headlight. wink
