Yes .. I know that this forum is about Caravanning .. hence

 the 'Subject'

 

But ... 6 in a row!!!!   Beautiful!!!!!

 

Why do Queenslanders of my generation have such a passion for State of Origin

....Well in my days of playing,  NSW had pokies & we didn't.

Clubs like St.George would buy our good players & then the much despised NSW administration would pick them to play for NSW in the interstate games & flogged us year after year.

Then came State of Origin with what the name implies.

 

It's not the lovely people that we hate ... only the NSW RL administration!!!! 

(Including the current NRL <terrible name . should be ARL> judiciary comprised of all NSW officials who for example didn't charge a NSW player for a spear takle but rubbed out a key Qld player for 5 games for a similar offence)

 

Gee it was great to see the Qld Caravan roll on  ... Only downside is that I'll have to replace my '5 in a row' supporters jumper for a '6 in a row' one ... 

Maybe I might just get one that says 'A Decade of Qld State Of Origin Wins'.

As a Victorian living in Qdueensland - ya gotta love it - anyone who can bash N.S.W at anything at all is pretty good in my opinion....

It was fun being a Queenslander down here in Victoria last night with ****roaches next door to us!!!! We really didn't want to rub it in too much - but gee it was good!

SWMBO is coming down to the pool room with me tonight to watch the game again. 

I recorded it on an old VHS tape (over game 2 of course).

 

More drinks & loud yelling, with all the doors & windows closed in consideration of the neighbours.  It's great to know that the goodies win in the end.

 

We will pause the tape from time to time to relish in the Ch9 & Ch1 football show postmortems ... especially the NSW biased Ch9 one!!!!

 

 

Can't wait to hear from grub Gould or rotten Ricky  ... or indeed the spectacle of ****roach Gallen throwing his arms up in appeal after every beautiful Qld tackle ... or hearing him winge about adverse reff's calls ....  Or is that being too mean spirited.

 Ditto.. Allthough I was  bit worried this year as NSW had a new weapon... VB, yep that Tooheys muck isn't good enough to sponser them this year. I was thinking that maybe them drinking the good brew migth have got them over the line. They musten have drunk enough....

Hey Guys n Gals,

Don't know why NSW keeps turning up to get punished like this, the NRL will eventually turn tail and run home cancelling the game when they have been beaten 10 years running, just like a kid with bat and ball in hand.

As a Cowboys suporter I have seen the irony of it and watched the NRL trying to drive them out of the comp through one sided refing and judiciary calls but the victors prevailed... in much the same way as the mighty Broncos have also prevailed..

All I can say is:

NSW seems to be a state unto itself, including Canberra in the ACT.
Even from this side of the border anything that defeats NSW is a good thing.
