New to the site, Nomad in training!!!!

Hi everyone out there doing what I am only dreaming of. Being new to the site I thought I would post something to break into the swing of the forum.

I dont own a van or even a tent at this stage, but I have just started my last job in Brisbane that should last the next 4 years. In that time my wife and I are going to set ourselves up to spend the next part of lives working around australia.  So with no fixed abode to look forward to and surfing my way through this forum, I hope to learn from others, so if I come accross as a person who asks a lot of questions I hope it doesnt annoy you to much.

I know people say "Seek and you shall find" I tend to answer this with" Ask and you shall be guided".

You just have to ask the right people.

Brett

Welcome Brett.   You'll find some of the answers to your questions if you Click on the search button, and type in what you want to know.  eg.  Motorhome or Caravan ?

Just try that one, and you'll see what I mean.  Feel free to ask any time as well though.

Cheers,

Sheba.

Welcome brett!

If you follow & ask questions on this forum for the next 4 years then by the time you start your trip you should know everything there is worth knowing about nomad traveling,

And, knowing some of the members that frequent this forum, you will probably have learnt a few things that you maybe could have done without knowing.

Cheers

Jon

To train as a grey nomad you need the white card. It can be an occupational hazard joing this forum, as you never get sick of sharing and asking and just enjoying the banter. It's a real time waster at times.
Welcome and enjoy your stay. Safe and happy travels anywhere, anytime.

Requirements for becoming "grey nomad" - sense of humour, slightly twisted mind, sharing, caring nature, and most important, the desire to have fun and join in, ask questions and learn.
So, welcome if you qualify - if you don't have all the criteria, won't take too long and you will have!!!!

Welcome to the Forum Brett - I think you might need to change your views on nomads if you think we all go to bed early in the eveningbiggrin

I agree with Jules "sense of humour, slightly twisted mind, sharing, caring nature, and most important, the desire to have fun and join in, ask questions and learn.

So, welcome if you qualify - if you don't have all the criteria, won't take too long and you will have!!!!"

Night owls and early risers, how do you do it?

As for a sense of humour, I just woke my daughter up thinking it was 5.20am on my way out the door to go to work, leaving the driveway I noticed the car clock said 12.20am, bugger should have seen my daughters face when I walked back in the housebiggrin

I will try again in 4 or so hours, I am loving the humour so far on the forum..

Brett

and it is funny to be refered to as a youngun!!!!!

Now I am smiling and having a good chuckle at the whole thing, Im glad to see the humour on the replies and look forward to being part of the forum.  Being my daughters birthday today it added a good twist to the whole thing.

I tried forwarding my 300.00 to the bsb and account number but it was rejected saying the account had exceeded its maximum balance and all monies were to be returned.. or forwarded to another account.  So how do I get that white card now?no
