My neighbours bought their dream van and have travelled about 600ks and now they are no longer able to live their dream for health reasons and have to sell the "palace".
Just one for instance of DON'T LEAVE IT TOO LATE to get out there and enjoy your life.
Very sorry to hear that, Ma. A wake-up call for us all. I have been shilly-shallying about getting a decent vehicle and getting out there . . . but no longer.
My wife has had a health scare recently, just to reinforce the positive attitude. Time to get going, methinks.
Cheers, Tony

Ma - how awful for them - though I do know what it feels like, I just am grateful for the final four and half months fulltime travel, and the previous 10 years "as often as we can" trips with John before I lost him.
Fully agree - don't leave it too late - work out what you want to do - and do it - remember the old saying - work to live, not live to work - but I will be out there, solo, next year, all being well.

Yup, spent the last 2 years of my working life planning and expediting my plans for a cruise round this vast land.At 67, you need to get the "A" into "G" . Now retired, apparent good health, and I'm ready to go. Just waiting for the last ever group certificate to arrive, submit that and I'm on my way. Yehaaaaa.

Ma - I am sorry to hear about your friends. It is really making me rethink my plans for the next five years - thinking maybe I can work six months and travel six months each year, could be in one block of each or two blocks of each.
Cheers, Es

Those pics and comments of yours are great Billleeee. Here's yet another person intending to start again soon - just as soon as weather gets a smidgen warmer. Oh, and the rotten tax. Got the van updated as per the suggestions here about three months ago.
