RE: Fuel costs & some timely advice from within

No worries Ma, I don't recall Doug saying he received it in an email, not to say he didn't though. I understand your comments about on the road and limited access/download, I often dump a lot of jokes and other items sent to me at home as they take up too much of my limited download (have to save it for GN, lol ! ) smile

Wasn't having a go at your Ma (or anyone else for that matter) I know you are "Dinky Di" (or should that be "Dinky Ma ?" wink biggrin

Wow, poor Dougie, just wanted to help folk out and look what happened. I being a "newy" am now not sure I would post any tips on the forum without checking with the CIA, MI5 and FBI of its authenticity. Think I'll just look and learn for a while.

Just to put the record straight, I didn't compose the article & nor did I work in the oil industry.
I posted the item unaware that there was copyright or that in fact it had been reproduced, as it was sent to me from a personal friend who lives in Melb & worked in the oil industry (now retired), & I assumed it was his doing, not someone elses.

I won't bother in future.

You posted this information with the best of intentions Doug and I for one agree with you and won't be passing on any more information that I receive from other sources on this forum either.

I do not have the time to open and read the things some people post to me, I use a program called Mailwasher Pro and I do not see the crap that comes in, you just set it up with certain words and if those words are in the email they get kicked out before they reach my inbox

here's the free version, more options if you get the Pro version

Dougie, for the record, no wonder you have chosen to leave the forum again. There has been so much bulls==t back and forward about your original posting.

Ah! It all comes together now. So unnecessary to have bagged him in the first place for something so simple and that we should all take heed of.
I nearly left some time back over something that had been said to me I took offence to, then realised they had the problem, not me and stayed to enjoy all your wonderful company.

If everyone got hung for spelling and gramatical errors there'd be no one left for me to read.
There are times our brain is faster than our fingers, and it happens.
If it was in a trucky's log book it would be an offence which incurs an on the spot fine.
Sometimes poor spelling, grammar or sentence construction does lead to misunderstandings. That's life. A comma in the wrong place can really cause a riot.
It's a sad day when an innocent post becomes a federal offence, be it copyright laws or just poor judgement. Good intentions turn sour.
It's hard to be perfect all the time, but I'm coping. Not!!!
We're only human, and thereby hangs a "tail".
Mmmm, somehow I think I've mixed my metaphors. What do you reckon Cupie?
