Fiji sounds wonderful Tige. Had a couple of family members get married over there in the past 12 months. Looks really great.
Unfortunately we won't be heading north for some time yet. We had planned on leaving on the 2nd August and heading to Doug's place at Chinchilla but after todays visit to the doctor I have had to put everything on hold.
Ma I just had a look at the thermometer here in Greystanes and its 12 degrees and just starting to blow I think we are in for a cold and windy night .Even our dog Ellie stayed inside all day and slept under her doona ...It was warmer at Moruya ..cheers ..BOB..
It certainly was when we were at Moruya Bob but I think today the wind would be coming straight across the airstrip and would make for very unhappy campers....
I'm 3 score years & ten & haven't seen snow falling .. wish I was at Bowral now, sitting in a favourite recliner, nanna/poppa blanket across the legs, looking out of a double glazed picture window beside a roaring fire with maybe a mulled wine, watching it drift down .... ahh! that's the life.

That's what you guys down south do, isn't it?
Dealing with snow as you describe Cupie would be the bees knees. It is like that if you can get it.
Unfortunately for those of use who have had experience with the type of snow that they will and are getting in Bowral it is an entirely different story.
Really nice as it's falling but soon turns to brown mush and then packs down as ice and before you know it you are finding out just how much padding you have on your nether regions.
Its blowing a gale at Narooma, where a mate told me its blowing 110klms per hr , and cold to boot. ITS 4.30PM and 25c and blue skys, here on Magnetic island.Come to NQ for our"winter".

First visited Magnetic on my honeymoon in 1967.
Was beautiful then as it is now.
Hired a little mini moke & drove all round the place. Got big black lip oysters off the rocks ... (much needed food for a honeymoon)
The"winter" , here,is the best I have seen ,in my travels.I have to get off the island to get "demagnetized", now and again.Too much of a good thing. It would be nice to travel south in the summer, and north in the winter.I am trying to work on making it so.
hope your ok Ma, it was only 6 degrees here in nowra today, darn freezing and wet when i went into town tonite to do my radio show.. bring on summer where i can wear my birthday suit at home..
I have to agree with Bill - we are here at Seafofrth QLD for the winter looks like we are up for a couple of weeks of lovely sunshine even caught a 70 cm 3kg flathead the other day, amongst a heap of other fish

Ma. The wife and I spent the night free camping at Bendermeer last August and froze our butts off. In the morning the whole scenery was white including our black car. Needless to say the boss isn't free camping there in August again. Havago.

Fantastic
That's why I don't eat oysters. What would I do if they worked? It's been very balmy here in good old SA. Cold, still, frosty, clear long nights. Sunny, cool, fine short, days. Too chilly to get the washing dry by 3pm after which is gets cold and damp. Thank goodness for the RC aircon. No double glazing on the van, but I'm coping.
