Fixed wing is going to take you further and faster for longer than rotary wing, for the same money. This is fixed wing territory. Bungle Bungles (for instance) is rotary wing territory. The best (in my view) is this mob. http://www.wrightsair.com.au/floodwaternews.htm They are "locals", not 'blow-ins' from the east for the tourist season.
No relation, no connection.

I have just returned from doing a flight over the Lake in the helicopter. It was fantastic, I have flown in little planes (and they are all little up there) and am sick of not being able to see out of a tiny window and other people on the flight being sick, so now the boss and I just go on choppers when we can. They operate out of the pub in Marree and if you stay in there long enough you do hear a few good stories, like the one about the so called "locals" who on a flight got lost! They don't look like locals to me, mostly look like young pilots getting hours. Anyway, I can recommend the helicopter, the pilot was great and they have been flying up there for last 4 years, not just "blow-ins"
Welcome Defender Man, are you connected the Maree Helicopters by any chance?
We did a trip over the Bungles, Lake Argyle and the Argyle Mine a few years ago in a light plane (from Kununurra), we found we were packed in like sardines with our knees up around our chins and very uncomfortable, no room to stretch the legs etc. Not sure of the passenger limit but it must have been at least maximum. Having been in choppers too they would be my preference.
