RE: Is 85 too old to become a grey nomad?

That's the one certaintity in life Jack, like the poem about no one knows when the clock will stop etc.

Sound like you have a pretty good rig, is it your permanent home?

Hi Vic, yes mate it's going to be my home for the next few years while I look around. I'm still working on getting the vehicle set up, should be done in a week or two. What about you Vic, are yuo full time on the road?

No Jack, only part time, but if I was on my own it is something I would consider. Would need something bigger than what I have now for that though. Hope you get on the road soon.

Here is the full Clock poem by Robert H. Smith for anyone who doesn't know it, how true it is Jack;

My Dad is considering buying a Hiace Poptop Campervan to follow us around Australia.  We took him on a six week trip with us last year after Mum passed away and he loved the lifestyle.  He stayed in cabins at each caravan park we visited.  But we plan to be away for more than six months this time and will free camp some of the time so Dad will need his own vehicle to be able to travel with us.  He is quite active for his age and drives his little Toyota Echo around town daily so he feels he is quite a competant driver.  While we don't like to travel much more than 200kms per day before we set up camp I am concerned about Dad handling it.  Any opinions would be appreciated.

 Hi Stevo, I wont give advice, except make sure any medical conditions are covered eg, take along a doctors letter and whatever prescriptions he has. Best of luck!

We have been away 3 months now, and it is tiring, even when you allow plenty of rest days. You might have to allow extra time.
