Hi all I am Bill Helena's husband don't know if I am on the right site for this question but when we were camping put the skirting on the van however when we took it off the stud on the van came out has anyone had this trouble and if so how can I put another stud on the van Thanks for any help. Bill.
hi bill how old is your van,it dosnt look very old is it still under warrenty, if so its most likely that it should be covered amd the maker should repair it lyn
If you are out of warranty, canvas repair places should have them. Also Spotlight and similar places. You have to have special tools to fit them. I think most caravan repair places would have them also and might be better for them to fit them too. See the suggestions from this link too, the one about using vaseline on the studs sounds good too, although I would be more inclined to use silicone spray, see;

On the rare occasion that I need to replace mine I glue a piece of reinforcing fabric to the rear of the vinyl first. I always replace both bits of the stud unit ie. the male part on the van wall & the female bit on the vinyl.
I use the fixing tools that came with the fittings. Got the pack from a camping store.
As part of the routine mtce process, I spray the studs with a little silicon lubricant .. vaseline might be OK too but I thought that it might hold the dust. I use the silicon lube because I have it on hand for the guides that the annex walls slide thru.
Thanks everyone will take on board the silicone spray I am having trouble putting the male stud into the caravan wall I have tried filling it and then using a bigger rivet but that pulled out too so think I will take it to a caravan reparier to get it done. Thanks for all your tips. Bill

The studs are usually riveted in.
Use a drill to take out the old one. (usually a 1/8" but it should match the outside diameter of the rivet shaft.). The head should come away with the drill bit.
Select another rivet that matches the (enlarged?) hole. Should be a tight fit.
If it's really big you might have to reduce the circumference of the rivet head to fit inside the stud. Carefully file it to size.
If the rivet is too long, knock the 'nail' out of the rivet shaft & cut the shaft back to the best length ( so it protrudes about 1/8" past the back of the hole) & then put the 'nail' back in the rivet'.
This gives a customised rivet that will do the job.
You might like to try the technique first on a piece of metal the same thickness as the van cladding.
