Its obvious who the insomniacs are !

GOODMORNING to the day people and g'day to the insomniacs. I have been reading members posts and I am amazed at the number of you guys posting into the "wee"hours ..........seriously, I just cannot go the distance, I'm in the land of nod by 10.30pm.If you feel comfortable discussing it, what is it that has you up at such hours?

Even our esteemed webmaster has been known to post in the "wee"hours! Whatever day you are operating on, have a great one.

cheers

I reckon the call of "nature" would be on the top of everyone's list .... as it is on mine.

Of course, you get up, do what you have to do, and then realise...........oh the computer is still on..........might just have a quick game of paitence while I have a drink of water.......the rest as they say is history.............back to bed about and hour or more later..........no

I go to bed late, get up late. Rarely in bed before midnight. The reason, I'm still wide awake. Mind you, I am still sitting here in my PJs thinking about having a shower right now.
Not like some of the others though, when I get up during the night its straight to the loo and back to bed, never think about sitting at computer dabbling.

I have always been a night owl....and my husband was a morning person
Two of our brood took after me....the other two took after their father.

When the kids were younger, we had a camper trailer and tent and my husband always liked to be on the road by 5am at the latest. This generally meant 3 wide awake people and 3 who considered that to be an outlandish hour and slept through the first few hours of travel. smile
Somehow (thankfully) it never seemed to cause any conflict.

Yep, last night couldn't sleep, tossing and turning, so up at 1AM, played a few games of poker, had a look at GN etc and then back to bed at 3AM.

Best not to try to get into the habit of it though, just one of those bad nights.......as a past shiftworker doing the graveyard shift over many years doesn't help either....

Generally, when I'm home, I'm a late-to-bed, sleep-in-late person. While on the road it's the other way around. I'm usually awake by 6.30 ish.

Travel Bug, there's no way I'd be on the road by 5am! yawn

Mornings, whether at home or on the road (preferably on the road of course) are the best time of the day.

I'm usually a late to bed, early riser - but sometimes I just go to bed and read for hours, try and not have computer in bedroom - would never sleep at all -

No reason to go to bed except to sleep. So I put bed time off as long as possible. I get up reasonably early, about 0730hrs, but dawdle around until the pain killers kill the pain. After the back settles down the day is easy.

I'm a Nightowl by nature, but am usually in bed around midnight, watching TV or DVD's.

Some-times though, [like the last week or so,] if I've gone over my daytime quota on the 'net, I don't get on 'till after 11pm.   Then it's usually at least 3-4 hours before I finish on Forums etc.

Cheers,

Sheba.

I often wake with nightmares, need to get really tired again to get back to sleep. I normally get 3 to 4 hours sleep per night. Sometimes I come online, sometimes read or head down to the shed to weld or cut someething sometimes just stargaze or reflect. Sometimes I just get grumpy with myself for being awake.

I often have trouble getting off to sleep, but once asleep, only my bladder or a coughing fit wakes me!

I've become a Morning person on this trip... there are so many "neighbors" wherever we go, and they all seem to be up and packing up before dawn.... sometimes they are going fishing, or leaving early to get a good spot at the next camp.

We are 2 hours behind in WA, so If I get up at 7am here its really 9am at home so I dont feel too bad!
