I had an entry in at the Good Guys for their Harley Davidson Fat Boy (thought the last bit fitted in with my image) and was imagining myself flying along the Highways like in Easy Rider, hair flowing out behind me (well maybe not) in motorcycle heaven.....
Alas, not to be, went to the draw this afternoon at the store, first entry picked was invalid, 2nd entry person was not in the store, had to wait 15 minutes for the next draw( rules) and then finally a nice young couple with an 18 month old baby won. We were really thrilled that a young couple who would probably redeem most of the $30,000 price towards their home etc had won it.
Lots of bikies in the store hoping to win too.
All the dreams I have been having about reliving my youth has been shattered, probably just as well, don't know that I could do one justice anymore (did in the past ride one).
We enjoyed the experience of going in the draw and attending though. The girl who's ticket came out first but was not there will be upset, she only lived locally too, but them's the rules, one person's loss is another's gain.....

Nice Macca, nice.....I like the saddle bags, rack and exhausts, I can see it's well looked after.
If you look at the link of the WW2 ones I posted earlier, have a look at the countries that had them and what they used them for, scroll down for the photo's, it's very interesting, I was amazed who some of them were used by.

Vic, those hardly rideables are shocking things, noisy, don't go well, brake badly, go around corners like a block of flats & are unreliable. Count yourself lucky
I know the old military type ones were just about indestructable having had a few near death accident experiences on one. Don't know about the later ones.
A man must have his dreams though Jack.......

Sorry guys, but I agree with Biggles, harleys are pretty 'show ponies'. We have a Yammie FJR and she just glides beautifully around the curves and really fast on the straights. Now that's a real bike lol Stay safe and happy, Jeannette
