After our shakedown trip, we need a new table for the van. We live on the Gold Coast and was wondering if any members know where we would start looking.
Hi Pauline You could have a chat with a bloke named Pas at Caravan Repair Shop at Labrador. I was referred to him from Hinterland Caravans (who are delivering my new van in the next week or two, yipeeee). I have spoken to Pas about getting some mods on my new van, and he and his crew seem to be right on the ball with all things to do with van mods and fitouts. They are at 3/332 Brisbane Rd, Labrador, Phone 5500 5213. Good luck, Ian

Thanks Ian will write that down for future reference, congrats on your new van, must be exciting, ours is 20 year old Roadstar but performed really well on shakedown trip except for the table, but you do expect something to happen with a van of that age Pauline
We have a rather large L shaped diner HW and I was thinking about a smaller one with ends that extend when needed as I cannot reach the cupboards above the diner, my arms just aren't that long, which is why I was thinking of something smaller, thought there might have been someone who sells them Pauline
we have replaced our fixed table with 2 small folding tables (about 15" X 20") from a camping shop = great move - can be taken outside if needed and fold to sit on the seats or bed when travelling - about $38 from memory

There are so many options. You could have one made to your requirements, or check out camping or occasional furniture outlets. Even Ikea might have something for your van. Some of the newer vans and motorhomes have a foldable tables. Starting out as a short casual table, extended for meal times etc. Ask around. You've already described what you'd like. Go for it.
