Wombat, that looks as sad as she looked in real life when I popped over to see them the other day when she was looking old, dull and lonely.
I can't wait to get her home and get some polish on to her. Brighten her up a bit.

Headache gone, curled up on the sofa for a couple of hours. Feel a lot better now.
Having a curry tea. Went into the butchers with daughter to get dog bones and they had a curry pasty thing for 1.40 each. I got two and having with pumpkin and sweet potato. Very nice, made with mince and sultanas and a sweet mild curry. They make them there in the butchers.

Tomorrow I am going to take my tape measure around to Myrtle and measure her floor. I really want to cover the lino thats there, Its so old and dirty looking, not washable dirty, just dirty.
Will check out if I can get an offcut from a supplier or perhaps some lino tiles, Have seen them in packs but can't remember where. Going to start at the floor and work upwards, try and giver her a bit of a makeover.
How easy would it be to paint all her cupboards white?

Clark rubber may have the tiles, or maybe Bunnings.

Now as for painting, I think painter's are expensive so it may pay to do it yourself biggrin

I will pop over to Bunnings tomorrow, I have seen carpet tiles there so maybe they have lino tiles as well.
Yes thought I would have to do the painting myself. There's not a lot of area really but will brighten the whole inside up with a lighter colour. Its dark woodgrain at the moment.

Had sweet and sour chicken and rice last night, still trying to decide for tonight, I had better stay away from the fantales I have been chomping on. So nice to read about your travels and socialising, hope to catch up with a friend tomorrow for coffee, itching to get onto the road, well still dreaming, dreaming.... Hi Marj, Bunnings have carpet tiles and vinyl tiles so you can take your pick.

I think I'm probably the original Ms. D.I.Y. and Bunnings is my "one stop shop".

My kids think Bunnings profits will drop right down once I get on the road and am no longer doing house renos. biggrin

I stripped out my van when I bought it but paid a "professional" to do the fitout.
BIG MISTAKE!! If there's a next van...I WILL be be doing it myself!!

Happy painting and floor covering.

Cheers. Pam. smile

Played squash tonight - first game went to 4 - I won 3-1 - second game (played up a line), lost 2-3 - never taken a game off this girl before though, so not too bad for an old chook (the first game lad was 14, second game girl was 18) - feeling bit weary now though.

Just had two pieces of toast with home made passionfruit/lemon butter - yum, and a glass of soda water.

Must be hair time - getting mine done tomorrow - cut and colour - been red for quite a while, time for a change - and Pam I thought your hair looked really nice

I've actually tried wombat, but it has been in the freezer too long and was tough. Seriously, I had Aboriginal friends in Ceduna and they shared their wombat with me.
It's best to cook your wombat when it's fresh, not from frozen. Tastes like pork, not chicken. That would be silly. I've also eaten stumpy tail or shingle back lizard. Now that tastes like smoked fish, probably because it was cooked on the open fire.
That Banrock Muscato is one of my fave bevvies. Yum with a nice pasta meal,.... or anytime is ok.
That friend from Ceduna is actually calling in shortly for a cuppa. He's in Adelaide for shopping, as you do.
Been stuck inside most of the day because it's cold and raining here.
The aircon man couldn't come because it was too wet to work outside. The little blower heater is doing a great job.

Have had internet connection problems yesterday and day before - seems okay now - really bugs me that I ring the "faults" number on the bill, and they say I should ring another number - which IS NOT on the bill!!! - then get to speak to someone with a "sing-song" accent, that with my hearing I find extremely difficult to understand - I can't pick up the lower registers of some voices - so the woman said "s--b--s--ng" - which I took to be "stabilising" - very frustrating - have no problem anyone doing any job, but we szhould be able to understand what people say to us surely?

And TB - you are the DIY Queen - I take my hat off to you!!!! Have a new rechargeable drill, never used it = have enough trouble using a manual screwdriver.

Hi Jules. Sounds like the conversation I had when trying to activate the dongle I bought for my laptop last week. I couldn't understand a word the woman was saying...and she couldn't understand me. Very frustrating!!!

As for me being the D.I.Y. Queen...thanks for the kind words
But we all have different talents....

I don't think I could play squash to save my life....
And here you are beating the young kids hands down every week!!

Cheers. Pam.  smile

Jules, when you have problems hearing on the phone just say very nicely 'I'm sorry but I have a hearing problem and I am having problems hearing what you are saying can you please let me speak to somebody I can understand'

I do this all the time if I get one of our friendly overseas aussie trained people that I cannot understand and I don't have a hearing problem, most times it's just their accent.
