Called around this morning. All going good and should be ready to pick up tomorrow.
They still can't find a speedo for her or the stay bar for the centre seat, and have suggested in my travels I go into as many wreckers as I can, show them what I need and they may come up with the right one.
He will still keep his order in with the ones he's spoken to as well and let me know if something comes up.
Then I walked over to Bunnings and bought a bit of carpet for the centre aisle which will tidy her up and also found some nice lino/vinyl which I think I will get for the larger squared area where the table/bed all goes. All white with a touch of blue which will lighten the insides quite well.
Thats good news HW!! Won't be long now. Myrtle won't know herself with all the fancy bits you are adding. Should keep her in a good mood for quite a while.
She's so old, sad and lonely at the moment ChiChi, she needs a bit of a makeover. Like the 10 years younger program on TV, I will spend the next few days bringing her back up to scratch with a spit and polish. So she feels loved.
You must be so excited Marj ... she look great once you get her home and give her some T.L.C...Bet you are already thinking about your next trip ....great news

Have a few short trips coming up before I can take off anywhere. Bendigo will probably be the first with daughters baby due any day. Gunbower with camera sometime as soon as I can. Shepparton to Spotlight to buy new curtains for Myrtle. Not sure in which order yet. Daughters dog Diesel is at the vets with a very injured leg, they thought at first he had done his crucial ligament and would need to go to Melbourne for an operation. Since the xtrays it looks like its a different ligament and he is to be put in a closed off area on complete rest while it heals. So he won't be able to go to inlaws when they head to Bendigo Hosp. So I have offered to go around and stay with him overnight if they are going to be away overnight and also if they are away too long. Depending when her hubby can come and go. And how long daughter is in hospital. Very traumatic day for daughter today. I was more worried she would go into labour being so emotional at the moment.
So pleased you are getting myrtle home tomorrow, it will not take long to get things done once she is home, good luck hoping to see you out there soon, Norma
Excellent Marj .. I might yet see myrtle before I head off.
Unfortunately I wasn't much help going out to Gunbower this morning. The conditions simply were not condusive to presenting any report that would support a good area out there for a group gathering.
For those interested .. I went out to Gunbower today to have a look about. Entered the area from the south near the Pub, across the bridge then followed my nose ..
Eventually after about 4-5 kilometres the bitumen changed to gravel and so any attempt to persue further investigation of the area under damp conditions was not practical ..
so .. anyone that might be able to find the time to look into this (and/or other areas) under dryer conditions would really be supportive .. it's a lot to cover ! .. but we still have a heap of time available.
Hey Marj - great news re Myrtle - give her a welcome home hug from me!!!! Not good re your daughter's dog - especially in her condition at the moment - that time is coming pretty quick isn't it? Hope all goes well for all concerned. Looks like you are getting on better with daughter at moment - good news. Take care

Yes Jules, I think her pregnancy has changed her attitude quite a bit. Maybe she realises what parenthood is all about now. Hope it stays that way. Jon, A pity its so wet at the moment, but it will be fine and dry by November and there are other spots within the same distance eg Green Lake where you've just been staying is the same distance from here and Gunbower in the other direction. Thanks for joining me for coffee and a nice chat and purchases of our respective carpets at Bunnings. I was telling daughter about it (your trip to Gunbower) this afternoon and she said maybe if some time over the weekend she, hubby and I go for a drive down there in his Nissan Patrol, I take the camera and we can drive all over the island getting an idea how it all looks. Its her hubby's brother who has the website on it. So we could call in on him and ask questions as well.
Oh, how exciting Beth. Now Lulu is yours you can do what ever you want with her. Of course change the bedspread, you wouldn't want to use someones else anyway. I had to take everything out for this motor business so will be able to pack Myrtle back up again with all the stuff lying around here.
Will be expecting some photos Beth, Inside and out. I've got so many great ideas for Myrtle, pity I didn't have the money to match. Could take a while but slowly catches the mouse, Is that right Jonathan?
Everything good is worth waiting for HW. It's exciting! Poor Myrtle will really know she's loved when you get going on the reno's. Perhaps a pat on the back BUMper will help her along. You have some exciting activities coming up in your family. All the best and I hope all goes well for everybody.

what Marj is saying folks, is that I woke to find a mouse in my mobile house the other morning .. It was still there yesterday, so one of us had to go ..
Very hungry little thing it was too .. and would show itself quickly to look for food .. so .. with much patience I waited .. and waited .. then out came the mouse .. made its way to the kitchen area where I had left the door open .. it slowly worked its way down the steps sniffing as it went .. then with the speed of gazelle, I threw a towel at it to stop from scurrying back inside to the safety of it's mobile mouse-hole ..
It took shelter under the towel in the stairwell .. then slowly .. ever so slowly, I eased myself forward and, clutching the towel and contents in one bundle, threw it all out the door ..
"Little Sqeak" was last seen busily carrying out a 4.5 inward pike with a radical twist .. then to disappear in the darkness ..
.. neither the mouse nor I were hurt in the vicious encounter .. but I'll know him if I see him again !
