The purpose of my earlier post was not to be critical of any contributor to this thread but to be very careful not to say anything that could even remotely affect this very high profile case.
The Morcombe family through their legal representatives have been very emphatic about this in their public statements.
Keep in mind that the law and common sense are often mutually exclusive so let's play it safe.
Well, the name of the alleged murderer of Daniel was released publicly on the Channel 9 News Perth tonight, it may be that his name cannot be released in Qld but can in other states. There was a comment on one story that he couldn't be named in Qld because it was a sex offence?
The alleged killer had been living in a caravan park in Orange Grove, an outer Perth suburb. He was said to have been living in Darwin in the past as well.

We spent some time at that van park earlier in the year, wasnt a bad park with about 90% permanent residents. Dont recall seeing him though cheers blaze
Can't say I know it Blaze, could you pm the name of it to me please. They interviewed one of the other residents (bloke with a big bushy beard) who said the alleged seemed like a nice bloke.

Thanks for that Sheba, unfortunately until he is or is not convicted by trial we can only refer to him as the alleged murderer......I believe he is going to defend the case claiming he is innocent (and of course unless he is convicted he is deemed to be innocent until that time).
Roll on the case, should be interesting. Hope for Daniel and his family the matter is resolved soon and they discover where the poor kids body is.

We all need to remember that this man is accused of the murder- and remains presumed innocent until proven guilty. That's our system. However, I am glad they lifted the ban on naming him in the media. As the reports say, it may bring other witnesses forward in the case.
i just hope that there is enough evidence for a clear verdict, and a fair trial.
I would like see those poor parents give their boy a funeral, so I pray they find his body soon.
..... and I hope I never ever see another woman bent and aged with grief the way Daniel's mother is, nor a father who's hair has prematurely turned white.
that man has now been named, they are digging down king st in glasshouse mountains its off steve irwin way where they grow the battavia berries, they have now found two shoes and are doing forensics on it, what amazes me is that where they are digging has had a 10 mtr flood go through it which washes into the pumistone passage.
Its going to take some time i would say ,and who knows if the guy has said where he is he could be saying anything too hey.
i hope they find him 8 long years now ,those poor parents ide rather he be found that never to know ,i always used to say i just hope hes not being held someplace all these years.
It is sad but im so glad they have finaly maybe found his resting place.
I'm hoping it's him too Della. Parents have been tormented far too long already. The thing I was worried about was Dingoes. There used to be a hell of a lot all through that country. I was worried the bones could have ended up anywhere.
It would be closure for the family. The alleged offender has still to be dealt with, and more evidence would either build the case against him or relieve the pressure. Why just this boy? How many other boys or girls? Why?
