Best country shows

Hi Y'all

Wondering what is your favourite country show.
Personally enjoyed Bangalow. Lovely environment.

What's yours.

Darwin was an experience back in 2000 ...  They handed out free condoms near the entry gate.  Just what every Grey Nomad needs.

We went to the Alice Springs Show this year. Was just like shows when I was a kid, so many give aways and they even had a boxing tent. Best show I have been to in years.

The Royal Adelaide Show is this week. I love the atmosphere of shows, but my legs and back aren't up to the mileage one walks.
I don't think I'll be going anywhere this week after the wog.
Some dog owners from Vic are in the park doing last minute grooming today to make sure their canines are on their best display.
It's schnowzers (spelling) but they were quite cuddly.

Why not try the "Bell Show" between Dalby and Kingaroy. Probably 25 - 26 Th. February 2012. ( to be confirmed )

Great little Show, big cattle display, horse events, machinery, big wood chopping comp, large pavilion, very big turnout for a small country town.

Sunday, the best rodeo on the downs, great events, bulls, horses, roping and best of all, sheep riding for the little kids.

All under shade.

Wonderful art exihibition in the local community hall. Hundreds of very good paintings for sale.

Plenty of Camping on the grounds for a fee and a within walking distance, a great little Van Park.

And don't forget, Bell Show is the centre of "The "Jam Drop Competition".

You can use this as a base to visit "Jimbour House" and "The Bunya Mountains"

Both worth a look.

Have Fun Haji-Baba
