I agree, they should hove done a caesar. So if bubs is in with her, do the expect her to look after him when she's in such a mess? Or am I doing them an injustice?
Poor girl will be so exhausted!

Congratulations what a great name don't worry daughter will recover quite soon have a great big cuddle of the new little one and a huge hug for daughter Take care and all the best to the parents and you Glad it's all over was getting worried like everyone else on the forum another little nomad great Helena.
Haven't long been home. Its been a long day but I've had it easy, only had to look after diesel the dog. Went down to Bendigo with S.in.L She's very pale and weak. The baby is in with her but they are very good coming and going all the time. And Deegan (correct spelling sorry my mistake) hardly cries. I changed his first dirty nappy and also helped daughter with the first breastfeed. The nurse also gave him a little bottle as a top up as they have decided to give her a blood transfusion which will give her a boost immediately they said. She is anaemic should be a figure of 110 thereabout I think but hers is only 78. So she's probably having that now, plus she had the anti D injection. She's not allowed out of bed except to go to toilet so rings for help with anything she needs and they come straight away.
So good to know that your daughter is being so well looked after she will feel a lot better after the blood transfusion I know I did when I had to have that. Just take care and all good wishes. Helena.
Congratulations and all the best to everyone. Nature will take its course with all due care from the nursing staff and the new mum's loved ones. The fact baby Deegan is strong and healthy is a good sign. He'll drop a little weight, but it's not a bad thing. He'll pick it up again in a few weeks. I had a 9lb 3oz baby and when I went home she was less than 9lb, but happy and very, very well. Breast feeding will sort a lot of things out in the next 6 weeks. Just relax and support the new family in your life. You done good. I'm amazed at the support through the forum for a fellow nomad. It gave me a great feeling of comradeship among friends.

Me too CG. I couldn't wait to get back on here to relay the news. Everyone is so supportive and willing to listen even if it is the written word. It is so great to know there are a whole group of people out there so interested in each others lives.
So angry with myself Marj. Was going to wait up 'till you gave us the news, but lay down about 3am, and promptly went to sleep. Got a very late start, and didn't finish doing what I had to, 'till I sent you the Text.

Pleased to hear they're doing right by her Marj. My daughter didn't receive much help at all.
Diesel has been very well behaved. Did everything I told him to and ate all his dinner. Will probably go around again tomorrow night so S.in.L. can stay down in Bendigo overnight in a motel rather than traipsing back and forth, he will ring me if he decides to do that. I will put up one photo you will be able to see the marks on Deegans face from the forceps but you will also be able to see how gorgeous he is. The marks will fade in a couple of days.
I might not leave photo there long. not sure if mum and dad will appreciate me putting his photo up although they do have one on facebook
