Well out in the bush sorta

Well since we have been in Albany we had 4 months as a night manager at one of the parks, then when it turned ultra quiet they wanted us to move out of thne unit and into the van, halfing the income for the same work (no money just in lew of rent), then we had a month in a work house on a gentlemans agreement (well let me say some gentlemen cant be trusted and their word is like ****). So to get out of town for a while awway from all the crap thats gone on we have set up at the Kalgan River Park, about 10-15km from town. The most relaxed I have felt for a long time, smelling the rose (well gums and pines really), watching the roo cassually hop about and listening to the birds sing their songs. There will be a roast tonight by the campfire(first one since january, fire that is ). So pour yourself a cold one and enjoy life with us tonight where ever you may be.

cheers

blaze

Hi Blaze, do you mean they want you to pay half for your powered site and still do the work?

Not too sure what a work house is?

Anyway, glad you are vegging out. If you want an overnight caretaking job at Lake Leschenaultia (in lieu of keeping an eye on the place and campers, no gardening, no cleaning, no office work, free during the days etc, good supermarket at Chidlow etc) that may be available or coming up, give Andrew Lee a call there to check the situation if you are interested and want to know the current situation.

Regards
Vic

Hi Vic
The value he put on the unit we were in was $250 pw, free power and gas. The value of the site was $120 pw, free power and we paid for gas. The work only entailed about 10hrs a week but basicly seven days a week to cover after hours stuff. I was doing this along with full time work that has a house attached and that was offered rent free for doing some maintance on it (needed a coat of paint). Wont go back into any of them arangements again unless there is something in writing. Havnt decided how much longer we will stay in Albany now, the plan was to stay until june (roughly) next year (with a 10 week break over chrismas in tassie) and slowly work our way up to Darwin.
cheers

No worries Blaze, I hope it all works out. The caretaking job was short term up to 3 months but could be less too, so keep it in mind.

Hope you have a good time in Tassie over x'mas,

Best regards,
Vic

Yeh, well it might be good but no need to make a "pig" of yourselves (roast pork or swine night).

PS: It's ok, I just jealous, lol !
