We done this tour today, It will just blow your mind.

If you are ever in Lighting Ridge dont leave without seeing this.

Walk among 14 years of one mans passion, Dinosaurs, 10ft high Budda, Angels, Jungle Cats,Super hero's & Egyptian Chambers. 500+ carvings in sandstone in an old opal mine. The best $25 you can spend in town.

PS. a little stormy & some rain tonight, moving on tomorrow.

Did you know that the bloke who does all this sculpture etc., never picked up a paint brush or sculpting tool till later in life and has had no formal training.

We spent a few days in The Ridge last year and actually had our happy hours with the bloke who owns the mine and does the tours.

You are right JC, it is fabulous and you don't want to leave without going to see this display. If you cannot walk down the flight of stairs there is a lift to take you down and bring you back up top.  Well worth its entry fee.

He was a hive of information wasn't he JC.  I think the opals at The Ridge are way better than those at Coober Pedy.  But again, it's a personal choice.
