Looking forward to it Jonathan, We've had a very relaxing day so far.

I'll just pretend that I'm ignoring Wombat, so don't tell him... biggrin

A couple of pics....

1. A pic of our rig, stopped for lunch at Forbes.

2. Our TV reception has improved greatly with the new antenna...

Somebody has stolen the back end of your car, and that sat dish is a bit over the top biggrin

Do you get good reception on your tv with that size dish? I was looking at getting another dish but not so big.

Welcome to SEQ Gubby. It's a nice spot down there, but there may be sandies as Boroma said.

I'm glad the un-rain dance worked too. A girlfriend and I both had appointments in the city today, so we had a cuppa on the clifftops at Kangaroo Point. There's a lovely cafe there now with a wonderful view over the river to the botanical gardens etc. The downer was that there was a cold wind blowing off the Antartic! I think we'll save it for another visit when the heat comes in.

Looking forward to Monday.

SEQ Jimbo. On the waterways to the north of the Gold Coast, with great access to the bay islands.

Make sure if you have to leave anything outside at night or when away from the van that it is nailed down.  Our travel companions lost a Webber Baby Q.  It seems it is not uncommon there, it is possibly now on a boat in the marina.

Ahhh... The Serenity...  smile

The Show (Outback Spectacular) was fantastic, both myself and Mrs G. enjoyed it tremendously, Highly Recommended...

HW, Thanks we will definitely have fun. Everyone we mention you to asks "Hows Myrtle?" (Yes my tongue is in my cheek) wink

Wombat, Hope your check up went well, my wife reckons the space on the back of the ute is for all the bargains she's going to buy.  TV reception is fantastic, but the wind drag is ridiculous.... If you're getting another dish I'd go a little bit smaller than this one, although economy is great if you've got a tail wind, don't even have to start the tug....wink

Beth, it's a very nice spot here, thanks for the heads up...  Looking forward to Monday...

FF, Didn't miss each other by much, we were at the Dish last Tuesday....

2weis, We'll get some pics and put them in recommendations, we find it incredible that we are so close to the Hustle & Bustle but the C/P is in a quiet rural setting right on the water, very peaceful

AmandaJayne & goinsoon We've only been here a bit less than 24 hours but haven't had any bities yet, we are stocked up with Bushman repellant and Aerogard but haven't used them yet...

Delta 18, Thanks, we are in the habit of making sure everything is secure..

Thanks Ma, all went well but not much to do in Parkes I am afraid. We did the dish but thats only an hour so the next day we went to Dubbo zoo, that was brilliant, even in the rain.

Gubbsy, glad you are enjoying yourselves matey x o x o

Gubby, thanks for backing up my thoughts on Jacobs Well. As I said, I've never stayed there, but have visited the area quite a bit, as it's only 'down the road' from me.

I forgot to say, it's a very popular boat ramp, so it may get a bit busy over the weekend.

The boat ramp was very busy yesterday (Friday) and C/P about three quarters full, this morning lots of boats around, went for a drive into Brisbane, heading back about 2:30pm the wind was gusting and I was thinking I hope the awning is alright.

Got back to the C/P about 3:00 tied the awning to the ute, boat ramp a lot quieter and a fair few have left the C/P, less than half full now. Qld school holidays ending this weekend could have a bit to do with it....

I'd forgotten about the school holidays. Yes, that'd be it. I may be quieter tomorrow too, with the wind so bad. Not good weather for boating, I'd say.
