Strawberry farm.

I took Felicia for my first real drive, down the highway to the Strawberry Farm at Pimpama, and met a few grey nomads. Very nice people. Had some good laughs.

Goodness is that place still there, shows how much I go down the coast, I live behind the hinterland.

We used to stop off all the time on the way to Southport to give the kids a treat years ago

Great to hear you guys all had a fantastic visit today. I'm sure the others will be on here soon with their reports too.

Yep, great time was had by all. Gubby & Jonathan had us constantly laughing. And here's a photo in front of Falicia! Of course we all had to take a look inside. Just as lovely as the pictures.

L-R Gubby(Bruce), Jonathan, Beth, Fairy-Nuff(Laura), and Travel Bug(Pam). Mrs Gubby took the photo. And two other nomads arrived after this photo was taken, but I'm so sorry, I've forgotten their names. One of my cohorts will remember, I'm sure.

Goinsoon, yes, it's still there, although no strawberries are actually grown there these days. But we did have some very yummy pancakes with strawberry ice cream, fresh strawberries, maple syrup and cream! Pity I didn't think to take a photo...they looked amazing, and tasted even better.

Oh, and Bussingham Palace!

Forgot to say, it was lovely meeting those of you I haven't met before. And I found out that Laura lives just over the hill from me!

Oh sorry, no, I remember their names. Jules was at bowls and Norma wasn't feeling well, so couldn't come.

No the man of this couple is a stalker... that's what I called him...as in, he reads a lot of the posts, but doesn't comment much...not someone we know. Maybe he'll comment now that he's been 'found out'!

Yesss .. 'twas a meeting of great minds .. and Gubby was also there .. hehe !!

I dont remember the visitors who dropped in either .. its up to them to identify themselves now ..

It was good meeting you folk .. and wasn't it lovely to be able to chat about Womby without his presence .. oh dear ! .. I'm sowwy Womby .. but you shoulda heard what the girls said 'bout yu ! I think it was dispicable.. things like talented .. smart .. etc ..makes yu sick !

oh .. well .. we also chatted about Vic .. I didn't mention yur wooden leg as you asked .. so your secret is safe with me ..

I could go on but I mightn't be able to hide ..

Jon

Careful what you say about Gubby. Remember he has photo evidence...

Oops, sorry, I forgot to mention Dave, Falicia's crewmate. Lovely young man too.

I've been exposed I'd better come out. It was great to meet the people behind the threads i've been reading. We felt very accepted , but how could we not be accepted with such a great group.

We will have to keep more in touch so that we can do it again sometime somewhere.

As the others have already said....we had a great time today....
It would be hard not to enjoy yourself with such a friendly bunch.
It was also good to put faces to the names. smile

Edco....pleased to see that you have stopped stalking and started talking. smile

Looking forward to the next get together. Cheers.

Okay you lot, enough of this carry on, you know how I like to keep things serious... wink

I have always been such an innocent and shy little fella until Jonathan camped beside us and completely corrupted me... biggrinbiggrinbiggrinbiggrin

Both the Mrs and myself had a ball meeting all you others Oh and Jonathan.  Also we were suitably impressed with Bussingham Palace Laura, I hope you have many pleasant trips in her. Also I hope you,ve disinfected you're teddy after leaving it with Jonathan...wink

We are sitting in Coopernook Forest Park tonight (Camps 6 NSW #84) a beautiful spot, even has a septic tank toilet. We are running our computer off the inhouse battery so I won't be on for long tonight, but stay tuned for pics next week. (Unless Jonathan sends the cash)

Hi Jules ..

It was one of my considerations too, but I was able to link up with my (former) neighbours from Sydney that are also in the Radio Club .. but thats after my decision to head towards Bingara as another good (Radio) friend is camped there at the moment .. thats why I gotta back track towards Inverell this morning .. then back down later ..

I'm sure we'll catch up in the near future down south .. but its just 6 am here in NSW .. thats 5 am your time .. and the temperature inside here is 7 C .. so it must be about 3 - 5 outside ..

I sincerely hope it warms up by the time Greens Lake starts .. Even early November last year still had some cold days ..talk soon

Jon
