We are quite new to the site and thought we would introduce ourselves. Our names are Sharon and Strop. We are thinking of a name to put on the caravan but as yet haven't been able to think of anything. Packing today, cleaning home tomorrow, visiting kids sat. and sun. and then off monday. We have been following grey nomad posts and they are very interesting. so a big hello to everyone. sharon and strop
Welcome guys - I hope you enjoy your time with us. If in doubt of where to go, do what I did once - kept turning left (except for one right turn into and out of a petrol station at the beginning of the trip) for a couple of days but then I needed a few right hand turns or I would have ended up home again!!

Sharon, the word Guru is a status associated with the number of posts one has made. You'll see a few different ones....your status is MEMBER and there is Senior Member and Veteran Member and others whereas our names are above our Avatars (pictures) or at the top of the box on the left.
Mine is Boroma577
I can imagine how excited you are....it is a great life out there 'on the road' no matter how you do it.
hi sharon and welcome aboard, i'v been trying 4years to pick a name for our dear old jayco, love her to bits, were of next week gotta visit rel's first then who knows where so looking forward to it. lyn
Bother!!! We are leaving Bribie on Sunday for a month at Bjelke Peterson Dam. Can I suggest the Bongaree Van Park right on the passage, lovely views, easy walking distance to shops, a lesser walk to the Bribie Bowls Club - meals are great and reasonably priced.
However, wherever you go - safe travelling, and maybe one day may catch up with you.
As regards a name for your van, as you start travelling, they seem to get a personality of their own and 'give you' ideas of a name - but I shall put my thinking cap on - our van is 'The Wood Shack'!
