Here I am!! Thanks for filling my "fans" in on my recent activities. Yes I'm a working girl, driving around the country flashing everyone and misleading truckies. He he he he! I was a working girl heading west, then I turned around and became a tourist on the way home. There are a lot of travellers out there with number plates from everywhere. Hundreds of motorcyclists are heading to Phillip Island Moto GP this weekend. A cheerful, happy lot. This job is a great way to assess road conditions, terrain, countryside and other features as they zoom past. There's more work coming up. A local one around town tomorrow, then more to the west in the pipeline. Another pilot mob has also offered me some bush work for a week because they need a 4WD to do the hard stuff to the mine site. It's interesting, and not all about farm machinery and cranky truck drivers. Most of them are great to work with and show due respect to their fellow workers.

No more than me Sheba, but thanks for the thoughts everyone. I've caught up with the washing, cleaned the car out a bit, and I'll be sleeping in my own bed for 2 nights in a row. I've done the book work and sent the bills to the boss. Now all I have to do is get paid. Ah, life is good.

Glad to hear you travelling again CG. I was wondering if it was you when I was following very large, escorted green farm vehicles which looked like landed UFO's from behind! I checked out the drivers each time in the pilot vehicles but no CG. Thank goodness for two way radios, they are always so good when you ask if ok to overtake.
Roses? What roses? I have to wait until I get home to smell anything but diesel fumes and roadhouse tucker. No, it's not that bad, but there is very little time to do anything but look around as I drive while I'm on the job. A lot of the time was night time from Adelaide to Melbourne, to be ready in the morning to meet the truck with header on the docks to beat the curfew. If you're following me you'll know it. The avatar says it all. The picture is real. That's really my spare wheel cover on the back of the Landcruiser, so yes, you'll know when you're following Cruising Granny. I believe everyone should have at least a cheap hand-held UHF radio in their vehicle. So much vital information is transferred between trucks and other motorists as they go. Then there's the mirrors of course, but I've already raised that topic.
