weather came down in buckets, we are in logan (housesitting). Garage sale runs again tomorrow, surprised at the stuff that went, and the stuff still leftover, . Downsizing , getting rid of of stuff so will be spiffiit when we take off on our journey
Rang son in melbourne, their first baby is due today, hes a chef, poor love was so tired, when they are so far away you feel like giving them a big hug, told him he will be a great dad, and reminded him that how much I love him, he will feel the same about his baby.
Good deed for the day, a refugee family to the garage sale, seemed really lovely, so I gave them a lot of kitchen gear , bless them, they were so excited.
Sure have Blaze. My mum has had a craving for rabbit stew so I went out and managed to track one down...............no, not literally.............they had them int he meat section of Coles. She's one happy lady.
just went for a swim and a heated spa (different pools next to each other), in the spa and felt someone trying to get a grip on my back, young boy aboat 5 yo splutter a bit and out of his comfort zone, give him a bit of a helping hand to the edge of the pool. Mum sitting on a lounge at the edge of the pool didnt even blink. This young fellow most likely have made the distance himself but I wish parents would get in the water with their kids and watch a bit more carfully cheers blaze
For a post about nothing it sure has covered some important topics. Helping others, loving family, doing loving deeds for family and thinking nothing of it. I had a craving for baked bunny the other day as well. There were a few on the Nullarbor roadside, but "stuffed bunny" took on a whole new meaning out there. All the best to everyone as they do "nothing" with love.

For a post about nothing it sure has covered some important topics. Helping others, loving family, doing loving deeds for family and thinking nothing of it. just a thought Chris, you could have roll them up with seasoning and made a nice little bunny roll. Havnt a a rabbit for a lot of years, used to eat a lot when I was younger because I was a keen shooter and only shot what we would eat
It was too hard to pick the fur off them. I did have a great baked bunny recipe years ago from the Continental Chicken Soup packet. The last time I saw bunny for human consumption was at a butcher shop at Fremantle. The price was enough to satisfy the craving. I wasn't going to pay $25 for one, not a pair as in the "olden days". They used to be about "two bob" a pair from the Rabbitto back then, if you didn't shoot them yourself.

While not really a good deed, I had a lovely morning tea at my daughters today with a bunch of family. My dear old(ie long term) friend is visiting from the Tablelands, and she's never met my 2+ year old grand-daughter. We had a lovely time, lots of laughs and reminiscing. Munchkin was the only littly so entertained us nicely feeding the birds, trying to play ball with the dog... 'What? You want ME to get the ball?' Stupid thing!
The only good deed I did to day was pass some money over to some shop keepers.... I will try harder tomorrow... But I am not touching 5 year old or bunnys!
I wish you could get shot bunnies these days - it's illegal because of our silly food laws but I always get a friend to save some for me when he goes shooting. They taste much better than farmed rabbits which cost a fortune as CG said. So $970 at Coles was a true bargain - I haven't seen one under $25.
As for good deeds can't think of one today - toook the dogs to the beach if that counts. beautiful spring day here, perfect.
If the bunny shoorter rules are as strict as the roo shooters rules for human consumption they have a wad of paper work. God knows what the goat and pig shooters have to go through. That's only for pet food. I met someone here in the park who has a licence to shoot roos for pet food out of Broken Hill. They told me about the strict rules for that. Administration, red tape and limitations control this country by the throat. A good deed would be to nationalise many rules and let the states keep the revenue.
