practice nomading

Hi all

decided to take a couple of mental health days from work (nasty word) and go back from Perth to Denmark the long way to catch up with Mr Excitement (Yeoeleven) in Ravensthorpe.

Tried hard to get to Esperance but it was all booked up everywhere and even Ravensthorpe was a bit snuggly.

Anyway John and I had a great day and I dragged the truth out of him about Billeeee's shennigans in Mannum which John was completely innocent of (too gorey for repetition on this wholesome forum).

We explored Hopetoun and the beautiful wild beaches around there. Unfortunately we could not get too far into Fitzgerald NP because the roads were closed but what an amazing looking place. I will definitely try and see it from the other end.

John has made the very courageous decision to ditch his microwave. A brave man as he has never cooked he says.

John has set up his van really well and passed on lots of great advice. So thanks heaps John. And we will catch up again in Denmark.

As I was driving back I decided to take some of the backroads. Tell you what I can't wait to hit the road full time. It is soooooo overdue.

Yes Ellen we did have an excellent day with lunch at the hotel in Hopetoun, the first time I used a knife and fork whilst sitting at a table in a long time. We visited Mason's Bay a lovely little place very camper friendly, it is listed in Camps6.Mason%2527s+Beach2.JPGPHOT0004.JPG

The microwave has gone and the old fridge that couldn't keep cold in the hot day at Lucky Bay, in their place is a new Engel 55 ltr and a small cupboard above to use the space.

Am looking forward to spending time in Denmark and exploring the surrounding area. Ellen has great plans to begin her nomadic lifestyle possibly as soon as next March having put a deposit on a caravan already.

I wish her all the best in that direction and hope that she enjoys the lifestyle as much as I do.

John
