Might be better to have them pay YOU to take them off their hands.

My nephew was due to take the flight from Sydney to Melbourne this afternoon at around 4.20.

He heard about the cancellation last night and got straight on my computer and was able to book a flight with Virgin.  Had to fly business class though as there weren't any cattle class seats available.

Gday...

............and the falling (dying?) share price is something that will again play absolute havoc with us old self-funded retirees - something else reducing our nestegg.

cheers

John

Its a shocking mess isn't it? Wonder if they will ever recover from it. They will have such a bad reputation no one will want to fly with them.

Good reason to have our own transport for getting around the country. ( just keeping this thread in line with the the general topic, nomading) haha.

You are a good girl Marj.  You can have an early mark for that or would you prefer a smiley stamp or perhaps a gold star............Oh heck, why not have all three............

Bit of a mess all round.

Isn't it time that all empoyees received decent rises when big profits are made.

I would ask two questions.

Did outsourcing the maintainance of Qantas planes contribute to the huge rise in faults with the planes?

Does the intention of Qantas to open an offshore Asian airline influence the flying public's choosing other airlines to fly with?

Yes I feel for those stranded and delayed, not nice to happen.I've been stuck in airports for days and it's not nice.Apart from the huge prices at the airports when you have no choice but to buy there.

There are fors and against both sides I just wonder what the truth really is.

Qantas closed at $1.545 on Friday, think they'll open lower tomorrow. I wouldn't go within a bulls roar of any airline shares.
