Newest First problem

this morning I am having problems with the Newest First option on this site, anybody else having the same problem?

I have my settings set to Newest First and on opening any topic I get the oldest first. Grrrrrrrrr

I have tried to reset it and also tried Ctrl F5, NBG.

Aw Womby, that's bad for you.
I just changed my settings, which had been changed without me, and it's changed the order of posts/threads etc.
Maybe you're not holding your mouth right Womby.

Maybe a firefox problem or maybe a restart will do the trick, will restart later

I just tested that link. And you're right. I clicked newest first and got oldest. I then clicked on oldest first and got newest. Go figure.

Having same problem last night and when posting a reply it went to the bottom of the thread instead of the top, all seems OK at the moment though

STRIKE THAT LAST SENTENCE!!!   Still playing up.

I have just been on one of the other forums that I belong to and note that the same problem exists there too.  ie: newest last when newest first has been selected and reply posts go to the bottom instead of the top.

Mine was set on oldest first, but just changed setting to newest first and it works ok, newest now at the top?

I don't use Firefox or whatever, just the normal windows stuff.  So mine is working ok.

(Maybe it's because I fell off a ladder this morning when a branch broke on a tree I was cutting, landing on my back, hitting my shoulder on a clothes line and my head hit a brick wall, knocked out temporarily, but everthing back to normal and working ok, not that I am suggesting you hit your head on a brick wall Wombie to make your work, lol ! biggrin )

Edit Note:  When I posted this and checked the post it had gone back to oldest first, went to settings, checked still on newest first and save again and now back to newest first.......spoke to soon, might go and hit my head on the wall again, biggrin

After my edit and repost, it went to the bottom again, so I clicked on Grey Nomads at the top and it went to the top, will try my refresh button after I have posted it might do the same thing, there is a problem with the system somewhere, not our pc's.....

Too late for the brain damage John, happened years ago I think, the Dr said I had Wombat Syndrome whatever that is.....confuse biggrin

I don't know if anyone else has reported the subject problem to Cindy, but I have just sent her a message.  Please note all she can do is report to her IT people and has to wait for them to fix it.

Funny you should say that, I saw my ticker specialist today and he said the same thing.......advised me to bit the bullet (expense wise) and get a tree lopper in.....cry blankstare

My first/last thing is still not working properly I assume it is the same for everyone else too but hopefully will be fixed soon.

Mine has been doing that since last night Wombat.  Still doing it.  I haven't changed any settings, so I'm wondering if Cindy knows anything about it.

Have PM'd Cindy.

Cheers,

Sheba.

Hi all,
Sorry about the problems with the 'newest first' and  'oldest first' display options.  I've written to our forum hosts and hopefully they will sort it out soon.  Thanks for your patience.
