shifted camp (now with pics)

Same C/P but moved to a new site. Been waiting for a chance at this one since we have been here. It has a shady tree (may now need to use the charger) and the water along with the tortoies, ducks and the big foot coots is all of 10 foot from the anex door. What a lovely view to wake up to, now really only got a van on one side.

Can't be all that perfect if you have to wait for the rain to stop

We've shifted camp too ...

After a short two months touring we are back home to get ready for XMAS.

Funny thing... the back yard garden has a better outlook that many of the CPs that we've been at  recently .. despite the bloody weeds!

Have spent almost a week fixing & cleaning ... Garden next!

Then to install a new hot water system  .. one HWS every 12 yrs seems OK to me.  Better than replacing suspected bits.

Can't wait to get off again to Ballina in 4 weeks with the grand kids!!!

Not so many awful CPs

In fact lots of great CPs

Like  ... but not only ...  Kidmans Camp at Bourke ...  Mallacoota, Port Macquarie Breakwater, Belmont Pines, Woolgoogla  ...Mornington Gardens ..

But the lawn & favourite trees & shrubs & spring flowers in the back yard are welcoming.  It might be nice for a change just to pull the van up into the back garden & invite friends & neighbours over for happy hour.

Good to have lots of space  ...  flushing toilets inside & a selection of bathrooms ... plus a private media room & cable Internet and all those Home things we become used to.

Would miss the New CP Friends though.  But it's good to catch up with those at home.

I'd rather be in a caravan somewhere, anywhere, but we are all different, that is what makes us all individuals............

I am sure there are some CPs you'd not like to be in Pauline but I do understand your feeling.

I am sure there must be some that I would not want to be in, but the great thing is you just hitch up and find somewhere you want to be....positive thinking...

 Gday...

I agree Pauline. There has been the occasional one that has been 'not the best' over the past two years. But, it is ONLY one night - and then off to find something better/different/nice/exciting/boring/cheaper etc.

Having said that, even when it has been a 'not the best' van park, there have always been people who have been interesting to have met.

Cheers

John

You have put it so well John, wherever you go there is the good and the bad, I prefer to remember the good, unless someone was murdered while they slept, then I might have to have a rethink......

Stayed in a cabin at Karrinyup Waters CP ten years ago. I only had a tent at the time so I appreciated the luxury of a solid roof over my head. I enjoyed my stay there and and found it very handy with a bus at the front gate that coordinated with the train at Stirling station. The one ticket covered both the train and bus.

Based on my experience then I can recommend it as a good place to stay when visiting Perth.

 Hi Brian

Spent a fair bit on it but at the time it was the only thing we could find with a toilet and shower in it. The orignal plan was to gut it and do a total rebuild but run out of time. So it has been painted inside along with some roof lining replaced, new water tanks, new cook top, new fridge, all 12 v wiring replaced, solor panel, nre brakes and off road suppension and the list goes on. It is a very solid old van though and the only drawback to date is the bed isnt an island bed

cheers

Your site is a bit posh Blaze, with the concrete under the whole area! biggrin

 Hi Beth

they have recently done most of the sites here, there is only a few slab with grass sites left. The sites are level side to side with a slight fall foward. The only problem with them is it makes pegging the annex a bit hard and does require some inavative systems.

cheers
