Snake Warning Inland

I'm sure they were nowhere near that price the first time I saw them months ago on an American site.  [ Can't remember the name of it, and have lost it off my favourites list. ]

Found it.  It was Dealextreme.   Can't find it there any more though.

Just checked one site, where they want $300.00 each for them.

Cheers,

Sheba.

Sure you're not thinking about the "Thumpers" in Dune? Hmm I think they attracted the sandworms though didn't they?

my neighbour put a few of them in the ground, seemed to work for a little while, scared all the snakes up to my place.. but then one night he found a big brown wrapped around one.

Just discovered I gave you the wrong website last time.   I finally found the right one.  Here's the correct link to the original item I mentioned.

It's multi-purpose, for both Rodents and Snakes.

First reaction of far too many people is "Kill".  As I said earlier, that's how some people get bitten, then of ourse, the snake is blamed.

There are some instances where it is necessary to dispatch one, but not just for the sake of killing it.

How would you react to some-one trying to kill you !!!

Why can't you just live and let live.  They have a purpose on this planet too.

Probably more of one than Humans actually, as they just seem hell-bent on destroying it.

Cheers,

Sheba.

Fair comment Sheba, most people seem to want to kill first and ask questions later.  Snakes are more afraid of humans than we are of them.

The ones that really get up my nose are the trophy hunters who go out and kill a magnificent animal just to put the head on the wall and tell all their mates what a big brave man they were.

just had a baby brown at the front door, unfortunately I have snakes all year round and see one at least every few weeks, if it was just me I wouldn't worry, I know to stay away from them, just worried about my pets, have just gone out and sprayed some shoo snake around, someone gave me a bottle so lets see if that helps, I'll try anything to keep them away!!

Had a few red belly black snakes over the years, and an old Russian friend put down lots of rock salt- he said it kept them away. Then he told me to plant geraniums as snakes hate them, so I did.
Now it might be right, or it might be coincidence, but never saw another snake in 15-20 years.
