I carry a memo recorder with me in the car and when I come across these odd creek and local road names I just tell the recorder for posterity, or the future, whichever comes first.
I thought that one day I might write something about these place names. Even some of the old settlements which haven't survived to be modern towns had odd names usually with some local historical significance. If only those places could talk.
It must have been a bit wild in the "olden days".

I know Dulbydilla Creek Boroma. There's also Womalilla Creek. I've crossed this one many many times...once when it was flooded.
