we were too busy stocking up at the iga only to have the border security at CEDUNA tell us we brought them from WA ... he wouldnt believe we stocked up at Penong,finally he gave up and we carried on.

 Did you not keep your receipt Rod.  They asked if I had mine and when I prooduced it we were fine to continue our journey.

heading wa east the sa was at the border gates,expecting that we happily drove through unstopped so penong we stocked up only to find Ceduna is NOW the WA/SA gates LOL

We did the same thing when we left Katherine, at WA border took a lot of our stuff, he was just doing his job but sh.t I was peeed off.

enterring WA is FAR more intrusive,no exceptions. Theres a sign saying "Allow up to 30 Mins PER inspection" .theyre into everything,under foldup beds,looking inside weetbix packs if theres something under the weetbix,no ....

weve got pet birds and they took our birdseed from us. at Kununarra [20Kms west] we bought the SAME brand ,no problems buying it there,but try bringing it with you...

When you next go over a border ask for a copy of their booklet, it will tell you what you can and cannot take across into and out of ALL state's.

SA/NT, QLD/NT theres NOTHING both ways.

SA/NSW on the Broken Hill rd theres Nothing BUT NSW/SA [same border] theres a minor stop,only verbal then youre away.

NSW / QLD goondiwinwi NOTHING both ways. NSW/QLD on the coast is Nothing, QLD /NSW there is a Stop ,verbal only i believe.
