All those brave young men in the Army,Navy & Airforce who never got a chance to live, it is enough to break your heart. Churchill said it best, "Never have so many owed so much to so few " I for one will never forget.
PS: Edited for a typo.

My apologies to the many, many armed forces personel that served in conflicts other than the two World Wars, I was remiss to say the least by omitting mention of you in my previous post. Please accept my apologies.

Rod,
We owe them so much and yet we don't seem to learn anything from their sacrifice, we are still fighting and killing each other on a daily basis and as you say each and everyone a hero.

I drive buses on a casual basis and today at 11am EDST I stopped the bus got out and placed my hand across my heart and looked up at the sky I said nothing to any passengers but within seconds most of the passengers had joined me they worked out what I was doing, they thanked me a minute later. LEST WE ALL FORGET. EVER.

Bless you, may there be more people like you.
As some forum members would know, we buried one of our mates a few weeks ago. His widow is doing it tough and we are all behind her.
There are about four more in our association on the "watch" list.
These are not "old" men, just men who have, thru war, got "old" before their time.
May ALL our young service personnel return home soon.
