well i've managed to prove beyond doubt that i'm just a big kid tried to give wind surfing a try, not as easy as it looks but playing with the grand kids in the drive way with "inline roller skates" well that is bound to end in tears which it did ,, my tears, knee is now the size of a football doctor asked how i did it,, when i told her the look on her face said it all oh well back to building my lego set Mum,, i'm thirsty

I can relate BB. Currently limping around with sciatica after a test-sleep on a camp stretcher on our back verandah. Woke up cold (sleeping bag obviously insufficient) and very stiff. I felt a bit silly at the time, even worse when a friend said I was dumb to do that at my age.
I don'think that's silly Gerty. Much better to have a go at home than wake up on the first day of a holiday and find the sleeping arrangements insufficient.
I'm hearing ya, it's all fun till you get hurt or the fun police turn up, in the last couple of years I've tried Bungee Jumping, White Water Kayakingand Trekking in Nepal. Apart from feeling 2 inches taller after the bungee I have escaped injury (Fingers Crossed) As they say if your no living on the edge then your taking up too much space
