TRIVIAL INFO;

Recently had one half of a doubble power point in the caravan fail to work.

Took it apart today & found some deab black ants in the back of the housing .gave it a good clean out, set it up on a 12volt system on the work bench & tested each circuit,found the one that didn;t work .

A few flicks of the switch & another blow out & all working, I suspect a ant had got between the contacts of the switch.Refitted unit & all working ok.

Just have to figure out who to send the bill to.LOL.smile

Another reason to do all you can to keep the resourceful little black critters out of the van. They use the polystyrene for nesting material, because it insulates so well.
They're not really interested in your wiring, but it's just a freak of nature that an ant shorted things out. Little mongrels!
I admire them but they can be destructive.
