HOBART

Afternoon All,

Some time back one of you good people suggested Elwick Showgrounds just outside Hobart as a good place to stay.

I have used the search facility but can't come up with that reference.

If it was YOU, could you please let me know, I have a couple of questions?

Like:

Exactly where is it so we can stick it in the GPS

How much per night

How long can you stay there

All general stuff like that.

Thanks heaps

No, not yet Fly.   Went to Freycinet National Park today and walked up to the Wineglass Bay Lookout - bit of a hard slog but I did it.  Will probably suffer the consequences tomorrow though. ..... The price we pay.....

Day of rest tomorrow.

P.S. No fish for Blue yet, ocean been too rough to even cast a line and with the wind that's been blowing the tackle would end up behind him.

Had a look Neil.  It would be perfect but for one thing, we don't have a sealed grey water holding tank.   Oh well, back to the drawing board.

That side of town, you have Treasure Island caravan park at Claremont.

Be warned, it can be the windiest place in Hobart.

The best IMO place to stay around Hobart is about a 30 minute drive out at Snug.

From Snug, there is a lot to see and it is a very pleasant outlook, great little shop at Snug also.

Claremont, is about 15-20 minutes out from the city, very busy Brooker Highway to contend with going in and out of town.

Jul/Aug we found the caravan park at Cambridge to be the best value for money - and a very nice park it was too.
