OMG i get browns all the time, another reason for selling up. I would be

getting a snake catcher in, especially if you have children or animals, snakes do move on tho.

well, it depends on whether they are snakes and not the little legless lizards we get at home.

If you Google www.snakerepellent.com.au     you'll find some Solar repellers.

I've bought one, but am not at home to use it yet.  I'm going to take it with me when I get on the road.  Hopefully, it will keep them away from the 'van.

Cheers,

Sheba.

Woody, you can get a snake catcher in but others will come to the newly vacated territory. Keep the backyard mowed and clear of hiding places (yes I know, difficult) and teach the kids about snakes. I grew up in the bush and snakes were a fact of life, our neighbors fenced off a little area for the kids to play in that was clear and hopefully safe, but most important, is educating kids to run away from the snake and tell Mum or Dad, then STAY INSIDE.

Phenyle . That black stuff with a strange smell that we used to use in longdrop toilets .

Bunnings have it in litre bottles for about $4 . Snakes won't come anywhere near it . Just sprinkle a little bit around every day or so and they will keep away .

Supermarkets also sell it as Bin Cleaner , but it is diluted  .
